I decided to have a go at coloured knitting, for the first time. So I decided to start with these mittens called Tsahkal. The pattern (in Finnish) can be found in Ulla, an online knitting magazine. The yarn is Nalle in pink and black, to match my winter coat. It was both easier and harder than I had expected. First it was difficult to keep an appropriate tightness of the yarn: not too tight but not too loose either. At first it was pretty slow, but I learned a good technique to hold the yarns from this blog. It made knitting much faster, and somehow made the end result look more even.
Tällä hetkellä työn alla on kaulahuivi siskolle edellisessä postauksessa olevan pipon seuraksi.
I'm knitting a scarf for my sister at the moment, to make company to the hat I made for her.
