Shoppailua - Shopping

Alennusmyyntien alettua olen iloissani huomannut, että monessa kaupassa myös langat ovat alennuksesa. Niitä onkin tullut sitten ostettua sieltä sun täältä, ei mitenkään hirveästi kuitenkaan. Alla suurin osa lankasaaliista.

Since the summer sale started, I've been pleased to notice that yarn is also on sale in many shops. I've bought some yarn here and there, but not huge amounts though. Below you can see the most part of my "catch".

Kuvittelin viettäväni tämän päivän aivan erilaisissa tunnelmissa kuin sitten vietin. Tänään olisi pitänyt olla kolmas sytostaattihoito, mutta veriarvot olivat taas niin matalalla, joten sitä piti siirtää viikolla. Poikkesin aamulla torilla ja siellä oli torikirppis. Sitä pidetään muutaman kerran viikossa. Ostin sieltä Jokanaisen käsityökurssi -kansion, joka näkyy ylläolevassa kuvassa. Se on vuodelta 1978, ja sieltä löytyy kaikenlaisia ohjeita neulomisesta ja virkkaamisesta värjäämiseen ja kirjontaan. Toinen löytö oli Me Naiset -lehti vuoden 1966 marraskuulta, jossa oli kivoja baskeri- ja myssyohjeita.

I thought I would spend this day in an entirely different way. Today was supposed to be my third chemo, but my blood test showed that I couldn't have it today. So it was postponed by a week. So I stopped by the market place this morning and bought something at the flea market that is held there a few times a week. I bought a folder that was titled "Every woman's arts and crafts course". It contained all kinds of patterns for knitting, crocheting, dying, embroidery etc. Another find was a Magazine "Me Naiset" from November 1966, which contained cute patterns of berets and hats.

Nice berets, the Finnish title contains a word play referring to winter tyres, but it's not really translatable.

Tämä Kiireisen liivi löytyi Jokanaisen käsityökurssista. Miellyttää mun silmää kyllä, tuota voisi kokeilla, jos ei ihan tuollaisena, niin sitten vähän muunneltuna.

This "Vest for the busy" was in the folder. It pleases my eye, I could try that, if not exactly like that, then slightly modified.

Nämä virkatut liivit ovat myös jotenkin söpöjä, varsinkin tuon pikkutytön yllä.

These crocheted vests look cute, especially on that little girl.

Veljentyttäreni toivoi minulta barbinvaatteita, mutta en ole niitä vielä tähän mennessä voinut tehdä, sillä mulla ei ole ollut barbia, jonka päällä niitä olisin sovittanut. Nyt löysin torikirppikseltä muutamalla eurolla barbin. Se lähti mukaan rannalle jotta voisin sovittaa tekemääni asua sen ylle. Välillä tämä Nelli Naturelliksi ristimäni barbi nautti auringonotosta ilman rusketusrajoja. Pistän valmiista asusta kuvia myöhemmin.

My niece wished that I would make clothes for her barbie. I haven't been able to do them until now because I haven't owned a barbie so that I could try them on. Now I found one in the flea market, it cost just a few euros. It came with me to the seaside so that I could try on the clothes I was making. When she was not needed, Nelli Naturelli enjoyed getting a tan line free tan. I'll post pictures of the finished outfit later.
