I got a message from the hospital's chemo ward before Christmas. They told that the previous batch of chemo hats was a hit, and now they are all gone. They would really like to have more hats now. So I thought that I would take the next batch of hats on Valentine's day. Now that Christmas is over, I hope you have some time to make one or two hats. I started my first one yesterday, but realized that I will soon need to buy more yarn for the hats. The yarn should be something non-itchy, like cotton, bamboo or acrylic. Put a badge on the hat with info about the size, material and washing instructions.
Kun eilen illalla kaivelin lankakorejani etsiskellessäni sytomyssylankoja, törmäsin vanhaan ufoon, jonka olin aloittanut yli vuosi sitten (ehkä kaksikin, en edes muista tarkkaan).
I was going through my yarn stash yesterday when I found a ufo I had started over a year ago (or two, I can't even remember). I had started knitting a long cowl with small needles using thin yarn and with appr. 300 stitches, so no wonder if I lost my interest in it. Now I decided that it was big enough, and knitted just a couple of rows before binding it off.
